I've created this website specifically, but not exclusively, for people providing child care. This site is for you if you are a stay-at-home mom who needs ideas for her children, or for people running a daycare/dayhome. If you don't fall into that category, don't worry. There are a lot of good idea's for children's crafts and activities for those of you running out of ideas or who just need a little help planning out your day.

I ran a daycare for many years and found that proper planning was the hardest thing to do, but the most rewarding. It takes a lot of time to figure out fun and new activities/crafts for the children to do. But, when I would plan ahead, my days went so much smoother. Also, the children adjusted to a new environment easier with a scheduled/structured day. It got to the point that the children got excited for what we would be doing next and behaved better because of it.

Those are a few of my reasons for creating this website, but I also wanted to take my years of good ideas and hard work and put them in one place. I want to help take the struggles and guess work out of having a Day-Home/Daycare while making it an enjoyable, learning environment for the children.

If you sign up with us, you will get access to a Members Only area, where every month is planned out for you, so you don't have to worry. Some of the things we offer are:

  • Instructions with tips and tricks for those of you starting a Day-Home/Daycare.
  • An hourly schedule so you don't have to struggle with finding what to do next.
  • Exciting activities and activities that are focused on upcoming holidays.
  • Daily crafts for the children with Directions Illistrated with Pictures and supply list, to make things easier for you.
  • And much, much more.

Please read on to see some examples of what you will get. Also, please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions, and we hope to see you inside.

Thank you.

First, when you get access to all of the information inside, we have a Instructional Guide for those of you looking to start a Day-home/Daycare, with many of the tips and tricks that we have learned over the years. I look back to when I was first starting my day-home and I know that the process of starting it was very complicated and overwhelming at times. I would have done anything to have detailed instruction on what to do First, Last and everything in between. That is why we offer a section for those of you that are new to child care. There may also be some good tricks in there for you "Old Dogs" out there. I think that this section should be the first stop for anyone using our services.

Then, you will want to download the Daily Schedule. This is a just a general guide to show what you will be doing with the children. I know that most Daycare companies require you to make a Daily Schedule. I believe the children need the stability and structure that a schedule will provide. The Daily Schedule will never change, only your meals, activities, and crafts will be different.

Inside you will see a link like this:

Click Here to download the Daily Schedule.

The Daily Schedule will list hourly, or every half hour, what activities will be taking place.

(Examples only, not the real schedule!)
  • 8:00 - 8:30 : Structured Play
  • 8:30 - 9:00 : Story Time
  • 9:00 - 9:30 : Music Time

For example, Structured Play is a set of activities that the children will do, like Building Blocks or Playdough. We use Structured activities because it helps brain development for things like color/shape recognition, learning sizes (big and little), and how things work together like building blocks. There is also Free Time so the children can just play and have fun, doing what they want. Music Time will be song related activities, like singing children's songs or Freeze.(Freeze is a game where the children dance while the music is playing, but when the music stops they have to "Freeze" in place.)

We provide a list of activities, with instructions, like these examples and many more. All you need to do is pick an activity, from the list of the different categories (Structured Play, Music Time, etc...) that you want to do that day. We also suggest giving the children the chance to pick an activity that they enjoy, when they get more familiar with them. Every month we will also give you a different list of activities that are designed for upcoming Holidays or Events.

Next, you will see a Calendar, like the one below. This calendar will give you your daily craft. There will be a link in each day that will let you view the Illustrated Craft Instructions. Click on the craft name to see the sample.

We also provide a monthly Parents News Letter that can be downloaded and printed off so you can hand it out. Most parents like to know what their children will be doing. It is hard leaving you child with someone else while they go to work, but not knowing what you child is doing or experiencing is even worse. It makes some people feel like they are not part of their child's life. This newsletter is designed to let the parents know what activities will be taking place, so they can feel more involved. It tells the parents the weekly themes and the daily crafts. It will also tell them about some of the activities that are planned for upcoming Holidays.
